Filter element filter is a commonly used solid-liquid or gas-solid separation equipment, widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental protection, water treatment, metallurgy, oil, natural gas, and other industries. Its working principle is mainly to capture solid particles, suspended solids, some colloids, and other impurities in the fluid (which can be liquid or gas) through the filter element, to achieve the purpose of purifying the fluid. Filter shell: The shell is the shell of the filter-type filter, usually made of stainless steel, plastic (such as polypropylene, ABS, etc.), carbon steel, and other materials, with corrosion resistance, and pressure resistance characteristics. 5. Import and export: the filter is usually equipped with a water inlet and outlet for liquid input and output, and interface size (such as 1/2", 3/4", 1", etc.) according to the actual application needs to be chosen to facilitate the docking with the pipeline system.
6. Bypass valve (optional): In some designs, a bypass valve will be installed, and when the filter element is blocked or needs to be replaced, the bypass valve can be opened to ensure liquid flow and avoid interrupting the process.
7. Transmitter or pressure gauge (optional): used to monitor the pressure difference before and after the filter, when the pressure difference reaches the set value, it prompts the user to clean or replace the filter element.
8. Slagging device (for some types): In some designs, such as bag filters or equipment with an automatic slagging function, there will be a special slagging device to facilitate the cleaning of solid impurities accumulated during the filtration process.

3. Interception and filtration: the pores or micropores on the surface of the filter element only allow substances smaller than the aperture to pass through, while particles, suspended matter, or some macromolecular substances larger than the aperture are blocked on the outer surface of the filter element or inside the deep layer to form a filter cake layer, which realizes solid-liquid or gas-solid separation.
4. Export of clean fluid: After the filter element screening of clean fluid, its impurity content is greatly reduced, and discharged from the outlet of the filter, to achieve the purpose of purification.
5. Impurity treatment: As the filtration process continues, more and more impurities accumulate on the surface of the filter element, forming a filter slag layer, which will gradually increase the resistance of the fluid and reduce the filtration efficiency. Therefore, the filter element needs to be cleaned regularly (such as backwashing, and chemical cleaning) or replaced to maintain the filtration effect and efficiency.
